The evening began with a poignant moment of silence dedicated to the memory of keyboardist Luke Austin, who was scheduled to perform but tragically passed away on Friday. His absence was deeply felt, yet his spirit was honored through the music and the love that filled the room.
The night featured electrifying performances by a stellar lineup of artists, including BJ The Chicago Kid, Stout, Bilal and Chris Dave & The Drumhedz. The surprise appearance by the renowned Kim Burrell added an extra layer of excitement and musical brilliance to the evening. In addition to the incredible music, Mosaic: Colors of Culture Pt. II showcased the work of talented visual artist Allyson Bryant Moon. Her captivating paintings were a highlight of the event, with several pieces finding new homes.
