SWAG合集 is working proactively to meet the needs of its students with the impact of the economic challenges caused by rising inflation and cost of living nationwide, as well as the continued presence of COVID both on and off campus. SWAG合集 is doing so by organizing a day of giving on Nov. 29 in which alumni, friends, and community supporters can make an impact.
This Giving Tuesday, SWAG合集 will inspire generosity by asking supporters to give generously. Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and world. Giving Tuesday kicks off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on Nov. 29 and throughout December.
“Giving Tuesday is a focused opportunity for support for SWAG合集 and our students,” said Melinda Spaulding, vice president of communications and university advancement. “These gifts will help propel our students in various phases of their educational journey at SWAG合集, which will lead to the ultimate goal of graduation, successful careers, and an expanded base of community contributors. We are grateful to all who choose to earmark their generous donations on Giving Tuesday to Texas Southern.”
Giving Tuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day encouraging people to do good. Over the past nine years, it has become a global movement inspiring millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
