Kendrick “Drip” Davis is not just a radio personality on our student-run radio station KSWAG合集2, he also had the opportunity to be an intern runner/production assistant with ABC for the Democratic Debate. “As an intern here, I shadow all leads closely, helping in the problem-solving process,” said Davis, “Assisting in the flow of communication, gathering material, and just finding a way to be useful.”
Davis hopes to make a great and lasting impression as well as leave with a better understanding of the business than before he came. “With the tools and skills I’ll gain from this internship, I plan to translate that into my studies and become a better manager on video production projects and media journey as a whole.” As a student being involved in such a major event is something he describes as unbelievable. “Being a part of this has really sharpened my view on the process.”
He said to know that he had a part in making history is such a big milestone to him. Some highlights of his internship include watching the arena come together from start to finish, meeting impactful people on the job, and getting hands-on experience in making an event of this magnitude come together. “I am looking forward to continuing to moving forward in the industry,” said Davis.
